RMC hitter named 1st Frontier Volleyball Player of the Week

WHITEFISH, Mont., Aug. 24, 2010 – Jillian Stanek of Rocky Mountain College was named Frontier Conference volleyball player of the week.

Stanek is a 6-foot-1 junior middle blocker from Shepherd, Mont. Rocky opened their 2010 season with four wins. The Bears beat Jamestown College 3-0, Concordia University of Oregon 3-1, Minot State 3-0 and Dickinson State 3-0.

Stanek averaged 2.92 kills with a .464 hitting percentage. She also averaged .38 solo blocks and 1.08 assisted blocks.

Also nominated: Kaylee Bossert of MSU-Northern, Katie Daly of Montana Tech and Sammy Priddy of Carroll College.
