MALTA, Mont. (AP) — The state wildlife department says a Minnesota man and his son have pleaded guilty to violating state hunting and outfitting laws and have agreed to pay $50,000 in restitution and fines.

Albert "Will" Carlson, owner of the Blue Ridge Ranch south of Malta, and his son, Todd Carlson, recently pleaded guilty to numerous misdemeanors in Justice Court in Phillips County.

The Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks cited the Carlsons for illegal use of radios and trail cameras, and baiting and feeding game animals, along with several outfitting-related charges.

The Carlsons lost their hunting, fishing and trapping privileges in the state for three years and can never work as licensed outfitters or guides in Montana.
