KALISPELL - Flathead County officials say a 30-year-old Creston man accused of holding six people captive at gunpoint is a "strong suspect" in the deaths of two men.

Justin Calvin Calbick was arrested early Thursday and is being held in the Flathead County jail. He faces charges of kidnapping, assault with a weapon and aggravated burglary.

Later Thursday, Flathead County authorities were asked to conduct a welfare check nearby and found the bodies of a 38-year-old Kalispell man and a 60-year-old man. Their bodies were being taken to the state crime lab in Missoula for autopsy.

Sheriff Mike Meehan says Calbick faces two counts of deliberate homicide in that case. No other details about the homicides were released.
