SHELBY - Republican U.S. Rep. Denny Rehberg says the city of Shelby will receive $200,000 in federal funds to revitalize its downtown and restore vacant buildings.

Rehberg made the announcement Monday. He say the funds should help stimulate the city's economy.

The funds are part of the 2010 budget from the House Transportation and Housing and Urban Development Subcommittee.

Shelby Mayor Larry Bonderud says the city's revitalization project could create jobs and be an economic boost locally and regionally.
