GREAT FALLS - Montana Pro Rodeo Circuit officials have met with Cascade County leaders to discuss a deal that could bring circuit finals back to Great Falls next year.

County Commission Chairman Joe Briggs says he's confident the two sides will work out an agreement in the next few days.

For the past 30 years, ExpoPark's Four Seasons Arena has been the venue for the pro circuit finals, one of 12 circuits nationwide. But MPRC opted not to negotiate a new contract with the private company that ran ExpoPark facilities for Cascade County. That threatened to end the run of the event.

In January, the county announced it was taking over management of ExpoPark and talks began with MPRC over the finals.
