HAVRE - The Hill County Sheriff's Office says the Tuesday morning fire that burned down the Havre Jaycees' fireworks stand was set intentionally.

The fire destroyed the stand and its contents, which are sold to pay for the citywide Fourth of July fireworks show. The club estimates their losses at $29,000.

People and businesses rushed to help with donations of cash and materials, to help the Jaycees recover from the blaze. The state fire marshal and sheriff's office are investigating the fire, including interviewing witnesses and reviewing videotape shot of the Holiday Village Mall parking lot, where the stand sits.
