KALISPELL - The 25 Siberian huskies seized from a filthy Evergreen trailer last week are multiplying, and Flathead County officials are searching for people to take in the dogs.

Two of the huskies have since had litters, raising the total number of animals to 41. Another dog is pregnant.

Shelter director Kirsten Holland says the shelter didn't have a disaster plan in place to deal with that many animals. The dogs are being temporarily housed in a horse barn at the county fairgrounds.

Sixty-six-year-old Juanita McGranor has been charged with aggravated animal cruelty in the case.
