BILLINGS - A national survey by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that fewer Montana teens are using methamphetamine.

The 2009 Youth Risk Behavior Survey is given to students in grades eight, 10 and 12. Just over 3% of students reported using meth at least once. That's down from 4.6% in 2007 and 8.3% in 2005. The survey is conducted every two years.

Attorney General Steve Bullock's office released additional statistics on meth use in the state showing a 62% drop in meth-related crime between 2005 and 2008.
