MISSOULA - The University of Montana cheer squad was one of two finalists in a reality TV show hosted by "American Idol" judge Paula Abdul and scheduled to air Saturday on MTV.

The 90-minute show, "RAH! Paula Abdul's Cheerleading Bowl" was filmed in November in New York City. It is scheduled to air Saturday at 10 a.m. Mountain.

Cheer teams from the University of Arizona, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Miami of Ohio and Hawaii also competed. Prizes for the winning team include a featured spot in American Cheerleading Magazine and a trip to MTV Spring Break 2009.

The Montana cheer team had two weeks before the competition to choreograph three new routines, with stunts far more difficult than they typically attempt. Team members couldn't divulge how they did.
