Economic Outlook seminars scheduled

MISSOULA - Economic researchers and experts from the Montana university system are scheduled to visit nine Montana cities early next year to present the 34th annual Montana Economic Outlook Seminar.

This year's seminar theme is: "Montana's Transportation Future: Opportunities Around the Next Curve."

Paul Polzin, an economist with the Bureau of Business and Economic Research at the University of Montana, will highlight the latest economic trends and present economic forecasts for each of the nine cities.

Bureau researchers will examine recent trends and the outlook for tourism, real estate, health care, agriculture, manufacturing and forest products.

The seminar begins in Helena on Jan. 27. Seminars are also planned in Great Falls and Missoula in January; Billings, Bozeman, Butte and Kalispell in February and Sidney and Miles City in March.
