LIBBY - A 19-year-old Kalispell woman charged in the death of a man who was shot 16 times at a campground near Libby has pleaded not guilty to deliberate homicide.

Heather Henson is also charged with tampering with evidence and theft of a pickup in the July 12 shooting of 67-year-old Larry Kingsley. She entered her pleas Monday in District Court in Libby. Court records say Henson told investigators that Kingsley gave her some money and when she lost it, he implied she would have to pay it back with sex.

Henson and her boyfriend, 17-year-old Stephen Thomas, agreed to go to Kingsley's campsite near Libby. Henson says she and Thomas shot Kingsley after he allegedly held a knife to Thomas' neck and threatened to kill her. Thomas has pleaded not guilty to the same charges, and will be tried as an adult.
