Husband killed, wife injured in motorcycle crash

SHERIDAN - The Madison County sheriff has released the name of a 50-year-old Sheridan man who died in a motorcycle crash that injured his wife.

Kenneth L. Steiner died after the motorcycle he was driving hit a deer on Montana 287 a few miles south of Sheridan. Sheriff Dave Schenk says it happened just before 7 p.m. Thursday. Steiner's wife, Doris, was riding on the back of the bike. She was injured and was taken to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula.

Schenk says the couple was traveling north on Montana 287 between Sheridan and Laurin when the motorcycle hit a deer in the roadway. Both riders were thrown from the bike.
