BUTTE - Authorities have identified an Oklahoma man who was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer after he walked onto Interstate 90 on Homestake Pass in Jefferson County.

Twenty-five-year-old Philip D'Aquin was pronounced dead at the scene after he was hit by the truck Tuesday afternoon. Witnesses told police the victim's vehicle was parked on the shoulder of the highway, and he walked onto the interstate into oncoming traffic.

Witnesses didn't report seeing D'Aquin retrieve anything from the highway. Authorities say the man didn't appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and there's no indication that he was suicidal.
