Valier residents evacuated after truck rollover

VALIER - Residents of Valier are being asked to evacuate their homes after a propane tanker overturned in town.

The Pondera County sheriff's office says the wreck happened at about 4:30 p.m. Monday A dispatcher says the tanker isn't leaking, but the department is asking residents to evacuate as a precaution while the accident site is cleared.

Residents have been told to report to the fire pavilion at Lake Frances, or to move a mile outside city limits until at least 9 p.m. No further details were available. Valier has about 500 residents and is 85 miles northwest of Great Falls.
