BILLINGS - More Montanans are getting our of their cars and taking city buses.

A survey finds that bus ridership is up across the state. In Billings, bus passengers increased 5% in the past month alone. Managers say they are seeing more people choose to take the bus over other ways of traveling.

In Missoula, home to the busiest city bus line in the state, Mountain Line bus passengers are up around 12% this year and on track to hit a record. Managers say the increase is caused by people sick of paying $4 a gallon for gas.
