BUTTE, Mont. (AP) — The trial of man charged with threatening a Montana Tech student with a knife in a campus restroom last January has been delayed after prosecutors added another felony charge.

The Montana Standard reports 29-year-old Brandon Curry pleaded not guilty Thursday to felony assault with a weapon as well as a new charge of aggravated burglary. Prosecutors added the burglary charge alleging Curry forced his way into the women's restroom to commit the crime.

The 19-year-old woman told police Curry held a knife to her throat and punched her in the head, but she was able to escape. Curry was arrested the next day near Laramie, Wyo.

Curry's trial had been scheduled to start Tuesday, but it was postponed until March 26 due to the new charge.
