BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — The McCone County sheriff's office has released the names of the three people killed in a fiery head-on collision between a school bus and an SUV in east-central Montana.

The 70-year-old school bus driver Patricia Thorgaard of Circle was killed along with two people in the SUV, 42-year-old Timothy Haskey and 27-year-old Stephanie Ellingson, both of LaCrosse, Wis.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the SUV was eastbound on Montana Highway 200 west of Circle at about 7 a.m. Wednesday when it drifted into the westbound lane, hitting the bus. Both vehicles caught fire.

There were no children on the bus, which was on its way to pick up students who attend school in Circle.
