CFalls residents killed in crash near Paradise

MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — The Montana Highway Patrol says two Columbia Falls residents were killed and three people were injured in a head-on crash near Paradise.

The patrol says the car a 78-year-old man was driving swerved off Montana Highway 135 near Paradise at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday. The patrol says the car traveled back onto the highway and crossed into the oncoming lane, hitting an SUV head-on.

The driver and his 60-year-old female passenger died at the scene. Their names have not been released. The three occupants of the SUV were taken to a Missoula hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
