HELENA, Mont. (AP) — Officials say a 2,000-acre wildfire northwest of Helena is completely contained.

Firefighters were helped by rain Wednesday as they mopped up hot spots within 120 feet of the fire's perimeter. The cost of fighting the blaze is estimated at $1.3 million.

The Davis Fire, which started as a prescribed burn that grew out of control last Thursday, appears to have burned eight structures, though none were homes. Some of the structures might have been piles of logs, but officials must review ownership records to be certain.
