Another off shoreshore oil rig has exploded off the coast of Louisiana in the Gulf of Mexico. Discovery Channel gunman James Lee was once convicted of smuggling illegal immigrants across the U.S. border and was proud of his job, but later came to refer to illegal immigrants as "filth" and their children as "anchor baby filth." His brother says James Lee probably wanted the police to kill him. The Justice Dept. sued Sheriff Arpaio for non-cooperation in investigation. Hurricane Earl has been downgraded to Category 2, but officials up and down the East Coast still are bracing for a powerful punch. Earl was passing near North Carolina's Outer Banks Thursday evening, according to the National Hurricane Center.
