Missoula, Montana (June 15, 2010) -- Missoula-based Max Media of Montana, longtime producer of Montana State Bobcat Football, announced today that the 2010 season will be broadcast exclusively in high definition, a major step forward in quality television delivery to Montana TV viewers.

Max Media president Linda Gray said the statewide Bobcat Network, which
includes the Max stations in Missoula, Kalispell, Butte, Bozeman, Great Falls, Helena, and Billings will be showing all eight of the games it will carry this season in brilliant and detailed HD, including both home and away matches.

The company’s previous six years of broadcasting Bobcat Football have won high praise throughout the state, not only for brilliant color and clarity but also for the professional presentation of play-by-play and color commentary.

Upon hearing the news, Bobcat Football Head Coach Rob Ash commented,
“What exciting news – and a huge step forward for our program and for MSU!” Coach Ash’s weekly television show, The Bobcat Sports Report, will also be produced and aired in high definition by Max Media and its stations.

The state-of-the-art mobile HD Production Truck – essentially an entire television control room on wheels – and the HD Satellite Uplink Truck are being provided by Videolines Mobile Television of Sandy, Utah. The technical staff and on-field camera crews are from many locations throughout Montana. Technical and on-field direction are handled by expert sports broadcasting professionals, led by veteran producer and MSU alum Rip Cook.

Returning this year as principal play-by-play announcer is sportscaster Chris
Byers. And providing color commentary is Mike Callaghan, a member of MSU’s 1984 National Championship team. AJ Donatoni reports from the sidelines.
