The work to clear the Going-To-The-Sun Road in Glacier National Park continues, as the highway is scheduled to open after June 13th.

The 53-mile road that traverses the park will celebrate its 75th anniversary on June 27th, but workers say clearing the road is still a tall task every year.

Work began on April 1st, but the project still usually takes at least two months to complete. Project supervisor Shawn Bessinger says his crews can clear 3/4 of a mile on a good day, and as little as 500 feet when conditions are poor.
